Who We Are

We Are Passionate About Our Service To The Lord!

Worship God
Our Worship To the Lord is paramount in all we do at Lighthouse Baptist Church. The reason we gather together, the reason we sing, the reason we give, the reason we preach and teach points to Him!

Serve Others
Scripture is clear that the focus of the church should be about others. We serve others at Lighthouse Baptist Church through the many different ministries and programs. We believe God has gifted each person with a special talent for the work of serving others.

Go Forth
The Lord Himself came to earth for one reason and that was to seek and to save. We realize God has demonstrated through His own life the importance of “Going Forth”. We believe in being intentional about sharing our faith and getting the Gospel to our community and all the world. The command of “go” is fulfilled when we not only share our faith but baptize, disciple and train.

Enjoy Life!
God intended for His Children to not only labor with Him and for Him but to also enjoy the life He has so wonderfully given us. We have discovered that a life that Worships God, Serves Others and Goes Forth… is a life of great joy and blessings!

Our Beliefs and Values

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant, infallible and God-breathed (ll Timothy 3:16, ll Peter 1:20-21, Matt. 5:18).

The Godhead

We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit-co equal in power and glory and having the attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4,ll Corinthians 13:14).

The Person and Work of Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men (John 1:1-2, 14)

  • We believe in the substitutionary Death of Jesus on the Cross.
  • We believe in The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the Premillennial Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that only by blood atonement of Jesus Christ can one have forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9:22)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ made our redemption possible through His death by giving Himself on the cross as a subtitutionary sacrifice and that our justification is made sure by His literal and physical resurrection from the dead( Romans 3:24-25, l Peter 2:24, Ephesians 1:7, l Peter 1:3-5).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and now sits at the right hand of God where He, as High Priest, acts as Representative, Intercessor and Advocate for the saved (Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 9:24, 7:25, Romans 8:34, l John 2:1-2).

The Person and Work of The Holy Spirit

We believe that Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement and that He is the one by whom all believers are baptized into the body of Christ, indwelled by Him and sealed unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11, l Corinthians 12:12-14, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13-14).

We believe that He is the divine teacher who guides believers into all truth. It is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit (John 16:13, l John 2:20,Ephesians 5:18).

Total Depravity of Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God but Adam’s sin passed unto all men and that all men inherited a sinful nature, became alienated from God and is thus totally depraved and cannot save himself from his lost condition (Genesis 1:26-17, Romans 3:23, 5:12, Ephesians 2:103, 12).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God given to man by grace. For man to receive salvation, he must repent of his sin and express a personal faith and trust in The Lord Jesus Christ who shed His Blood on Calvary for the forgiveness of the sins of mankind (Ephesians 1:7, 2:8–10, l Peter 1:18-19).

The Two Natures of The Believer

We believe that every saved person possesses two natures: the old and the new; that the new nature is to have rule over the old nature through the indwelling Holy Spirit; and that it is unscriptural to let the old nature rule (Romans 6:13, 8:12-13, Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 4:22-24, Colossians 3:10, l Peter 1:14-16, l John 3:5-9).

Eternal Security and Assurance

We believe that anyone whom is saved is kept by God’s power and is secure in Christ forever (John 6:37-40, 10:27-30 Romans 8:1, 8:28-29, l Corinthians 1:4-8, l Peter 1:5).

We believe it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Word, which does not give the Christian the liberty to live in a sinful manner (Romans 13:13-14, Galatians 5:13, Titus 2:11-15).

Separation

We believe that all the saved should live such a way as not to bring reproach upon our Savior and Lord and that separation from all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded by God (ll Timothy 3:1-5,, Romans 12: 1-2, 14:13, ll Corinthians 6:14-17, 7::1, l John 2:15-17,ll John 9:11).

Obligation

We believe that it is the obligation of the saved to witness by living and speaking the truths of the Holy Scripture and to proclaim the gospel to all mankind (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 6:15, Acts 1:8, ll Corinthians 5:19-20).
